    Description

The Core Motor Controller has TWO motor channels to connect 9 – 15 volt DC motors. Through the Motor Controller functions, you can control the speed and direction of each motor. Each motor channel port has an optional encoder input for feedback.
The Core Motor Controller is powered by the Core Power Distribution Module (see my other listings) using the supplied power cable and communicates with the Android device, PC, or Mac via USB.  Cables are NOT included in this listing. You'll need a powerpole extension cable and USB mini cable (see last photo/diagram).  If you use motor encoders, you'll also need a 4-wire encoder cable (not shown on the diagram).
The Motor Controller has three models for motor control and each channel can be independently controlled by the user program.  The three modes of operation are:
    Run with Constant Power
    – Set the motor speed and direction.
    Run at Constant Speed
    – Set the desired motor speed and the controller will maintain that speed, even if there is a change of load on the motor (requires encoder)
    Run to Position
    – Set the desired encoder position and the controller will move the motor until the target position is reached and then it will maintain that motor position (requires encoder)
The Core Power distribution module was the base module (see my other listings), powering other modules you will find in my seller listings, such as motor controllers (like these), servo controllers, core device interface (usually for sensors) and the core legacy module (interfacing to the previous generation including HiTechnic DC motor and Servo controllers).
6 of these motor controllers are available as of the listing date, with a sliding discount for multiple units purchased together.  These are currently being sold on the manufacturers website for each, marked down from .  To see more about usage, including videos, visit https://modernroboticsinc.com/product/core-motor-controller/
